Expanding the ownership and use of mosquito nets

Workshops

Over 30 countries have participated in AMP-organized workshops aimed at strengthening the skills of NMCP and partner organization staff in planning, logistics, behavior change communication and monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on net campaigns.

In 2012, AMP proposes to undertake two logistics workshops (French and English) and two scale up and sustaining gains workshops (French and English). The participants in both workshops will have joint sessions on procurement given its important link to both programming and logistics aspects of mass campaign planning.

The 2012 workshop focusing on scale up and sustaining gains will include aspects related to planning, implementation, communication, monitoring and evaluation and reporting on LLIN campaigns and sustaining gains through continuous distribution. The logistics workshop will include aspects related to procurement planning, transport, delivery methodologies, tracking tools and commodity management assessment.

The target audience for the workshops is staff from Ministry of Health National Malaria Control Programs (NMCP), in-country partner organizations acting as principal or sub recipients on Global Fund grants or for Round 11 proposal development or other key partners as identified by the Country Coordinating Mechanism and/or NMCP.
